What’s Rosa Roxburghii Fruit Extract?
Rosa roxburghii Tratt (Roxburgh rose), commonly known as a chestnut rose or prickly pear, is a member of the Rosaceae family. The plant is widely primarily distributed in southwest China, known for its several nutritional and functional components, including polysaccharides, flavonoids, vitamin C, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and triterpenes.
The chestnut rose fruit is referred to as a superfruit because it is an excellent source of Vitamin E and Vitamin C, can be made into a powder and mixed or added to other foods as a supplement, it also showed antioxidants, α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibitory effects and can be used to exhibit superoxide dismutase activity.
